Klein Wins WSOP $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Event

There is something between Loren Klein and the WSOP events that involve pot-limit Omaha.


This man has a liking for the pot-limit Omaha events and these have also shown in the results that he has achieved so far.

He was placed in the second position in the 2010 WSOP $2,500 pot-limit Omaha event. He took home the bracelet and the top prize money of $241,427 by winning the 2016$1,500 mixed no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha event. After this stupendous showing at the WSOP event, he backed it up with a second placed top tournament, earning game of $552,713 in the$10, 000 pot-limit Omaha championship. Now, after a year, he has once again won the $1,500 pot-limit Omaha event at the WSOP summer series. This gave Klein his second gold bracelet and he took home top prize money of $231,483. (more…)

Unibet Poker 2.0 Upcoming Release

Unibet Poker made news in February 2014 when it decided to migrate from the Micro gaming Poker Network.


This initiative was to launch its own poker network that would act as a standalone platform. It is powered and financed by Relax Gaming. This company that offers different kinds of online games has announced that the software Unibet Poker 2.0 would be released in the second version from December 1st.

This software was launched in its first version in August 2015 at the Unibet Open, Copenhagen by the late weeks of August 2016. The software then went into a beta testing phase and that was made available to certain players who would test run the software in order to ensure that the hard launch of the same would be successful.

There are certain differences that would be found in the second version as compared to the first. For instance, the first version was running on Adobe Air but the second version is built to run on the HTML5 web platform. (more…)

Mercier Plays Tournament After Marriage

We often hear stories of how pro players are friends off the tables in poker tournaments.


Hence it should come as no surprise that Jason Mercier and Natasha had found love while playing at the different poker tournaments and meets. Indeed, poker events are great venues to meet new people. As most poker events are arranged over extended weekends, you get to meet several new people and spend time with them in the different activities and events that are usually arranged in festivals and tournaments. Many people have found friends and acquaintances over such events.

Jason and Natasha culminated their friendship in marriage about a week back. The venue of their marriage was in South Florida. They were, however, already registered to participate in the main event of Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open tournament. There were about 760 entries in total and both of them made it to the final four tables. The buy in was about the amount $3500. Both the Merciers were unable to make it further in the event and they finished in 35th and 36th positions respectively. (more…)

PCA US$ 25000 High Roller: Dustin Johns tops stacked pack on Day 1

We all know that the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure US$ 25000 High Roller is one of the most stacked tournaments of the year. This year is also not different at all. Following the Day 1, US player Dustin Johns guide the path with 298100 in chips. He was followed by World Poker Tour champs Olivier Busquet and Jared Jaffee. The 1st day of this tournament attracted a total of two-hundred-fourteen participants, with late registration open till the beginning of Day 2.
Olivier, who also got hold of the €50000 Super High Roller at the EPT Barcelona for €896434 in the year 2014 after defeating his good buddy Daniel Colman heads up, had a stellar day and he bag up 257400 while he is in planning for a 6-figure MMA match against JC Alvarado.
Brian Yoon, the 2 time WSOP bracelet winner got 294000 after having held the chip lead for most of the day. Brian defeated Georgios Sotiropoulos with queens to ace-king, and after that put him at the top. Faraz Jaka, who ended 3rd in the PCA Main Event in the year 2012, ended with 254900, whereas 4-time WPT chap Marvin Rettenmaier will have 190,100 to Day 2.
